I was born in England and have never lost my love of British tea and gardens. My family immigrated to Canada when I was five years old, and we settled in southern Ontario. Years later, I entered the University of Waterloo as an English major and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.
Growing up, I was passionate about reading, writing, and drawing. I wrote my first novel at age twelve and read each completed chapter aloud to my girlfriends. Since becoming a Christian at age eighteen, I have filled countless journal pages with prayers which became the inspiration behind my devotionals.
My debut novel, One More Tomorrow (September 2019) won Best Romantic Fiction at the 2020 Word Awards, where I was also awarded Best New Canadian Author. In 2021, I received runner up for Best New Manuscript. My first novella, "Where My Heart Belongs" (November 2024) was a Selah finalist and is part of a Christmas anthology entitled, I’ll Be Home—a collaboration with my Fab Four writer friends. "Falling for You" (October 2025) is my second novella and is included in I Heard the Bells Christmas anthology. In 2019, I published Soul Focus – Trials, a collection of reflections on faith and perseverance. I am currently the Faith Editor at BE Magazine.
Passionate about the arts, I am an abstract painter specializing in acrylic and oil. With a background in theatre, I have written and directed plays for over twenty-five years, taught drama to youth and adults, and served as a drama director at my church. As a long-time homeschooler, I educated my children at home for nineteen years. I currently serve as a Youth Leader at my church. When I'm not writing or painting, I can be found puttering in the garden or chatting over coffee with a girlfriend
My husband, Ralph, and I are parents to four amazing children and two grandchildren.
I am passionate about telling people of the healing love of Jesus, and championing others in their faith journey through both the written and spoken word. My mission is to create books of excellence that impact hearts and lives, encouraging readers that although we are collectively flawed, hope and goodness can be found in any circumstance.
